Reducing inequality improves the chance that people who are born into poverty will be able to escape the cycle.

To fight global inequality, developing countries must be a priority. After World War II, it became more common for developed nations to offer resources to developing countries. This is known as foreign aid. It can take the form of goods, skills, or financial grants and loans. Countries provide foreign aid in order to help developing economies, assist in emergency situations such as natural disasters, build international relationships, avoid terrorism, and protect human rights around the world.

Three main international organizations work to support worldwide economic growth. These are the United Nations Development Program, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. Foreign aid also comes from individual countries and from nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
